Joplin - The Missouri Department of Transportation Southwest District has closed numerous routes due to flooding.

Closed routes include:

Barry County

  • MO 39, south of Route 248
  • MO 76, southeast of Cassville
  • MO 97, near Monett
  • Route C, at McDowell, Flat Creek
  • Route U, Flat Creek, east of Butterfield
  • Route Y, Flat Creek, north of Cassville
  • NEW--Route DD, Big Sugar Creek, west of Seligman--NEW

Jasper County

  • MO 37, north of Reeds
  • Route D, east of Oronogo
  • NEW--Route O, south of Alba--NEW

Lawrence County

  • MO 97, north of Stotts City
  • Route DD, east of Miller

McDonald County

  • MO 59, south of Lanagan
  • MO 90, inside city limits of Noel
  • MO 90, southeast side of county
  • Route CC, between Goodman and Lanagan
  • Route DD, Elk River
  • Route E, Sugar Creek near Powell
  • Route H, southwest of Pineville
  • Route TT, Elk River west of Noel
  • Route U, Sugar CreekNEW--Route KK, south of Route 90--NEW

Newton County

  • MO 86, near Racine
  • Route AA, southwest of Neosho
  • Route CC, Lost Creek, just south of MO 86
  • Route W, between US60 and Ritchey
  • NEW--Business 60 in Neosho, toward Granby between Kentucky and Nighthawk Roads--NEW
Motorists are urged to never drive over roads covered in water.
